What should I bring to a firearms training class?

For most classes, you’ll need a valid government-issued ID, appropriate clothing (closed-toe shoes, hat, safety glasses, and hearing protection), and your firearm and ammunition (if applicable). Some courses provide rental firearms if needed

Yes: An HQL, which is required to purchase, rent, or receive a handgun in Maryland. You can also request an HQL from the Maryland State Police without additional cost or training after being issued a Carry Permit.
